WIP Wednesday and a Blog Award

I mentioned on Friday that I got the Versatile Blogger Award from Amparo Ortiz and Katrina Lantz; both ladies are amazing. Go check them out. :) Thanks so much for thinking of me!!

Like just about every other award, this one has a handful of rules, but I'm not going to follow them. Here they are anyway, haha:

Okay, here are the rules I must follow:

1) Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
2) Share 7 things about yourself.
3) Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic for whatever reason! (In no particular order...)
4) Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

I think I'm running out of things to share about myself, so instead I'll answer a few questions should any of you feel compelled to know more about me. And I'm not passing this on to 15 people, but there are a few bloggers I'd like to share it with:

None of these awesome bloggers know they have an award from me yet, so you should all visit their wonderful blogs and tell them congratulations! :)
On to the WIP!

Just a quick update. I wrote 5k the other night. Yes, in one day. And it was amazing. So amazing in fact, that my eyes burned all day Tuesday from staring at the computer screen for so long. No joke.

So TSA (no I'm not going to tell you what it stands for) is now sitting at 31,600-ish words! :D I'm so excited!! And since this has proven itself to be middle grade I don't actually feel bad that I'm nearing the end of the story, because I'm well within the usual word count. Not that I'll force it to go one way or the other; it'll be however long it needs to be.

Still. I think the first draft is almost done. I only have a few more key scenes to write and then I can start edits! WOO!!

That's all I've got today. How are your projects coming along?

Congratulations to all the awesome bloggers!

Amanda, you must be so thrilled to be close to done! When I got that close with my recent project (also MG), I stayed up all night, like 4am, to finish the last 10,000 words or so. It was incredible. When you get that muse bug, you just gotta write!

Can't wait to read more about your MG. Do you need any new critique partners?

Dude, congrats on that 5k!!! Feels good, doesn't it? :D

And congrats to all your blogging buddies as well! Spreading the love is super cool.

Amanda, I follow your blog! Of course Ima find out before anyone comes to MY blog! ;) A bit thank you, btw!

Question to know more about you: Your profile picture is awesome and sassy. Where are you in it? Also, can I borrow your sunglasses and some of your confidence?

Congrats on the word count and the award!

Glad I'm not the only one breaking the rules. Lightning didn't strike me, so I think you're safe, too. :D

Thanks for the award Amanda! It's very much appreciated. The most I've ever written was 22 pages in one night. For some reason I write a lot when I'm sleepy; not so much when I'm fully awake. :)

Thanks for the award, Amanda! I had to laugh at your line about not following the rules. I likely won't either. :) 5k words in one day is awesome. I've also just finished a MG first draft and am starting revisions.
