Contest Alert!
You read that right, a contest.
Maybe it's a Valentine's contest or a New Year kind of contest or possibly a celebration for passing 200 followers. Maybe it's all of those. Honestly, does it really matter? The important thing here is that I have a beautiful extra copy of Across the Universe by Beth Revis, and I want to give it to one of you.
I'd like to talk about this for a second. I won a pre-order of this book, which I reviewed here, but it was sent to my house after I had already returned to school. So I waited a week for my mom to bring it when she came to visit, only she brought the other books I asked for and left AtU behind. I. Could. Not. Wait. Any. More.
I bought a copy right then and there. And now, I have 2 copies. One is mine. One could be yours.
We're going to keep this contest simple. All I want is a comment. Tell me about the latest book you read, any crazy weather you've been getting, whether you're dreading Valentine's Day, or what you had for dinner last night. I don't care. Just drop me a line and be sure to leave your email address so I can get a hold of the winner.
You have one week. That's 1 week (until the 17th) to read and comment with your email address in order to be eligible to win a copy of Beth Revis' magnificent debut Across the Universe. The winner will be selected randomly, and while I would appreciate it if entrants were followers, it is not a requirement. I'll announce the winner shortly after the contest is, hopefully no later than the following Monday (2/21).
Open to the US and Canada only. Sorry guys.
GOOD LUCK!!

Hey Amanda,
Totally have the crazy weather here. Dallas was COVERED last week. I worked from home four days. That NEVER happens.
As far as books, I just finished reading I am Number Four. I can see why it got the movie deal and is so popular. However, I can't say I was as impressed as I expected to be. But then, perhaps I was holding it to an unrealistic standard, given its popularity.
You don't have to do anything to get back into our good graces. You never left mine! I'm actually reading Across The Universe right now so please don't enter me. I'll pass the opportunity on to some other lucky reader.
Shelley, INTRIGUED. What ever it is, CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D
Kyle, I own a copy but haven't got the chance to read it yet; it's driving me crazy. Sorry to hear you didn't love it, though, that's always sad. :(
Heather, Good to know! Haha. And I really hope you like it! I thought it was wonderful. :)
Let's see.
Leviathan. Awesome.
Snowed in.
D&D on Valentine's Day.
Mediterranean Pita Pockets.
Oh, and blog more please.
Love,
Brooke

I'd love to win Across the Universe. It's on my to-read list. I recently finished Matched and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our weather's been great. We had just enough snow to make things beautiful, but not enough to shut anything down.

Ooh! Ooh! Enter me! There's been so much good hype about it, I'm really excited to read it.
Is it open to Canada, though?
Brooke, I'm working on it.
Connie, I wish our snow had played nice! :)
Yahong, Yes, I will ship to US and Canada. :) I forgot to mention that in the post, so thanks for asking!

I recently saw Beth Revis speak at the Denver stop of the Breathless Reads Book Tour but haven't read her book yet. I really, really want to after hearing her talk about it!

I finished HOUSE RULES last night by Jodi Picoult. This was outside of my normal reading genre, but I really enjoyed it. I've left a review of it today on my blog: www.margokelly.blogspot.com
