WiP Wednesday
It's the first draft, but it's coming out so much better than the last one did. I know this is the one I'm going to query, and if all goes well I'll be ready to do that next Spring. This one looks like it'll be about 60k when it's finished so I'm already a quarter of the way through the first draft. The only problem is that I don't have any betas, but I'll cross that bridge when I finish the 1st draft I suppose. Besides, one of my English professor's is an editor and she specializes in children's and YA literature, so I might have her butcher it for me, too. :)
Anyway that's what's up with me and my WiP. How are things with you and yours?

Congrats on the word count! You have a great plan going.
I'm still revising, revising, revising. And trying to find time to revise. Hmm, maybe I need to stop checking all these blogs for a while...maybe not. :)
Wow! I'm impressed with the word count. First drafts are so hard for me. I'd much rather revise. :)
eh, it's going. I'm writing rather slowly but I'm writing and that's better than not.
your doing great!
Lydia - Haha, no, never give up the blogs! :) And I know what you mean about revising; I had to table Rise of the Phoenix because it was taking such a long time to revise, that and this one was pestering me to death.
Jana - I haven't figured out which one I like more quite yet. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy them both because there's nothing like discovering the story for the first time, but there's nothing quite like making it shine either. :)
Palindrome - Would you prefer it if I called you Hannah? Lol. :P And mine's going a lot faster than usually, and it's still pretty slow. I started writing it over Spring Break (March 20th-ish), so, oh, I guess it's only been a month...haha. I didn't realize that. That's a lot faster than I thought I was going, still not as fast as others though. :)
But seriously, there for a while I was getting nothing, and most days I don't even get to open the document. So I understand slow progress completely. :/ Any progress is good progress though!
